Saw a beautiful 40th anniversary edition FZJ80 on Bristol and Campus last night. She looked lifted, ARB up front, roof rack, wire mesh on the outside 2nd row doors and rear windows (?), and the most disguishing feature, the snorkel with air intake pointed backward.

Unfortunately, in my commuter Miata, I couldn't see the driver :frown: .

Wire mesh on the windows? Ive been thinking of doing this :D Wonder if it's a 1 off custom job or if there's a source already that makes em.

These 80's are getting too damn popular. I think im gonna sell mine lol

Thought it interesting as well. Looked like there was some sort of barrier inside as well, but really couldn't tell. Perhaps dogs? The wire would certainly keep dogs or kids permanently in the truck. Good for open window sleeping that would keep larger critters out, but not pesky little flying things.

There was a girl who built up an 80 to travel into Central/South America. Out of the Newport area, I think...

She had mesh put on the windows.

Oh, her build was/is on expo portal somewhere...
