42 in tires (iroks) basically new, dual cases, rear locker sliders, boat side/ customized flat bed... Picked it up for 3800.00
He want to swap the 42's for 37's, so they'll be up for sale.

Let me know what he wants for those tires.

They might be bias ply....
He's GREEN, so I'm not sure if he knows or not. They are bead locks too, and I donno yet if hes keeping the BL's or will sell complete.

Awesome! Nice rig and great price. Those tires are at least 300.00 each. Great set up. My son had about the same rig and was doing stuff that was going to get him killed. It was unstoppable. Chris-When you said unimog I thought cool--then thought about the price of parts etc--you made the better choice--after all it is a toyota.

Welcome Chris and Happy Trails. Welcome to our dream/nightmare:D:D

Mark... It was funny... When we were wheeling back there, I had thought he had been on terrain like that before. He was asking some questions then I askedhim... "haveent you wheeled like this before???" he said he'll no. After we got back, he didn't say much. " thanks had a blast etc. "
Couple days later at work he tell me he's looking for a crawler.
Im sure he'll be wheeling w/ us this summer!!!

Bias ply is o.k. I've got Swampers now, so it would probably be an improvement over the out of round, out of balance, permanently square set I have now.

Poor bastard. There goes his free time and money. :grinpimp:

Looks like a good buy. Amazing that the axles held up to those tires, regardless of how easy the former owner was. I agree, though, 37's will better from a breakage standpoint.

That's what I thought too re the 42's. One of the things he needs to fix right off the bat is a bad u joint on the rear Drive shaft. I told him to just replace all of them now.
Sounds as if it's been a one owner rig. He said that the dad and his son had it, built it and wheeled it together and now they are neck deep into a hot rod project they needed the cash for. Guess the old guy was pretty bummed about letting it go.
I can just imagine!!!

He's seen what I've been through... He's been more than warned on this addiction.
He was pricing the 37 in iroks... He about took a dump!!! Lol!!

Get Chris to come to the next meeting so we can complete the indoctrination, err I mean welcome him int to the fold.
