Aluminum Hawse Fairleads, what should I be looking for. Smooth edges... etc? Where can I buy at a fair price? Please let me know.

Thanks.

For Synthetic winch line, the running surface must be as smooth as possible (to reduce friction and chance of abrasion) and the feed radiuses need to be as large as possible (to reduce pressure), so smooth and gentle as possible! But really try hard to get the lead (line angle) so the line runs straight onto the drum and isn't running over the fairlead with any amount of pressure. These lines are strong, but easily and fatally damaged.

Since you don't have a signature specifying what you have....

IF you have an something like a standard US ARB bar on an 80 then you will need an offset hawse - basically the mounting holes are offset from the 'slot'. Just something to be aware of...

cheers,
george.
