Hey guy's anyone know of a good alternator shop South? Texas Alt. & Starter is a little far North for me (although, if that's the only place.....), so I can get an alternator rebuilt (mine alt. is a Bosch, hmmmm german alt. in jap vehicle....).

Also, anyone have a rear heater motor for a 40 lying around (that works) they are not using and willing to let go of?

I'll hang up now to listen for your reply.

Hey WL....is this for the red 40? 2F? If so, I have a less than 1yr old alt that I need/want to get rid of.

Why yes it is for the red 40, what amperage and how much? I do have another Alternator, but it is for an earlier Cruiser (my 68) and although the terminal are the same on the back, the connector on my 78 is a little larger than the place to plug it into on my other alt...and I REALLY do not want to hack up my wiring to make the earlier alt work... Thanks Dude...

WL- I got a replacement from Texas Alt. & Starter for my Ex. Just go up there during lunch, not too far from your work.

I'm not sure what amperage it is. It's whatever is stock for a 1975 2f. Here is a pic of the back of it. $25.00 You can come by the house and grab it if you want to see if it will work first....then pay me later if it does

That one is an earlier alternator, I have one exactly like it. The place where the electrical connector plugs in is too small for the connector on my 40. Thanks Dude!

Would like to, but I don't drive to work, the wife does and she drops me off....
