Dealer called today and said one allocation before mine. Not sure what comes next. For those that have received an allocation, do they tell you what it is and you then say yay or nay? Any choices at all or is it take or skip? Then I have to decide what to do with the old 200 LC.

Yes, that is how it was for me. I was #1 on the list. Dealer called with a luxury trimmed model and I had asked for an F-sport, so I passed. At that time they expected to get 1 allocation a month. (This was about 6 weeks ago)

They contacted me last week and said the #2 person had accepted this vehicle. However, when it arrived at the dealership they gave a trade value on the potential buyer’s rover and the buyer decided not to purchase the LX.

They offered it to me again and said they no longer expect to get 1 allocation per month based on shortages and plant shut down. I decided to accept.

Only thing I don’t like about the luxury option vs the F sport is the grill, so I am going to see what I can do to remedy that.

To answer your question more directly. Yes, they will tell you would they have and you take it or leave it….

Same experience as 084. I got my base model after the 5 people in front of me turned it down, and now they've no idea when another one will come in.

I think the world is in agreement with that perception so I would be very surprised if a company doesn’t come up with an aftermarket redesign of the grill in the future.
