All-4-Fun Week 2013

Usually go to several 4x4 events a year and enjoy them all but this one is my favorite. This year (their 47th) it is July 28 to August 4 in Leadville. Many reasons why I really like A4F are:
1) Lots of trail choices and variety.
2) Free primitive camping on site.
3) Many meals provided.
4) Beer tent "free" (donations are welcome). Good stuff too.
5) Lots of family and kid activities.
6) Huge vendor show & lots for sale.
7) Good band and dancing Sat night.
8) Never a dull moment!
9) "FUN" is in their name.
10) 47th event; it is well oiled.

It would be great to get a group together and head for Leadville. I can guarantee a grand time for all. If you go to their website or FB page you may get the impression it's all Jeep, but that is not so. Majority is Jeep but also plenty of Toyota, Ford, Chevy and IH Scout. Most are street legal because there can be quite a bit of highway to trailheads.

July is a long ways off but full registration is probably getting close. Is anyone else planning on going? This really is a great event and my favorite of all I go to. I plan to do an overland run on dirt from the FJ Summit in Ouray to A4F in Leadville, 5-6 days camping in the mountains. Just picked up a new term used by 4-Wheel & Offroad mag DED, which is an acronym for Dirt Every Day. This trip will be DED.
