All, My 1988 Landcruiser was stolen on 6/22/13 in Marin County (Sausalito), CA and I am on the hunt for it. If you have seen it please call the Califonia Highway Patrol or law enforcement agency. Enclosed are a couple of pics.

I appreciate it.

Thanks

Stolen 1988 Landcruiser has been found in Richmond, CA. CHP reported the truck 6 days after the theft. Stereo, both catalytic converters were stolen. This area is a hot bed abandoned stolen vehicles.

Thanks

It's one of the blessings of living in California. I say this as a person who lived in CA for 10 years (LA and Bay Area). Now I live in southeastern Wisconsin where we have one of the lowest crime rates in the USA, a place where houses are unlocked, cars run unattended outside the post office and mine is parked in the driveway unlocked with the keys in the center console. I had a pickup and a motorcycle stolen in LA, car burglarized twice. Glad you got yours back.

I lived my first eleven years in Wisconsin but I wouldn't move back. I will admit seems to be a rash of 6X series being stolen in CA lately. I live in AZ and when I was parking my FJ62 outside in Phoenix I used a club as well as a few other things that kept it from starting. The two CATs coming up missing did scare me. Only issues I had were a couple of cheap radios be stolen. One out of a FJ40 the other out of a company truck. To be honest not sure what would be worse having a vehicle stolen or slowly watch it rust away. In the end I think it is easier to prevent the average thief from selling a vehicle than the salt from eating it up.

Just glad the OP got his FJ62 back. I know I would be heart broken to lose mine.

My old 1991 Honda was stolen last september and it turned up in Richmond six days later.

They found it in front of some section 8 housing at the top of Washington Street...go figure.
