AirDownGearUp has been selling storage, sleeper and drawer systems since 2017. We launched the business on the Landcruiser platform, and have since expanded into 4runners and GXs. We are now pleased to announce that we have an offering for the 1st Gen Sequoia!
As an overview of the SS1; it is a modular system that can be configured as a simple storage platform, storage+sleeper, or the full storage+sleeper+drawer system, with the ability to install drawers individually. The drawers are full-extension, ball-bearing, lock-in and lock-out. The drawers and sleeper can be purchased up front or added later and retrofitted. The sleeper is designed to stow on top of the drawers, allowing the 2nd row to be retained and completely unaffected. To deploy the sleeper, you tilt the 2nd row forward and flip the sleeper onto the seat backs. The system is comprised of CNC cut panels, with recessed mounting hardware and fold-up wings to retain access to the side cubbies. We also have a slide-out table that attaches to the underside of the drawer, providing a massively useful work surface that can be used with the drawer extended or stowed.
The thing that we are most excited about with the Sequoia is simply how much space we have to work with! These drawers are going to be HUGE. You should be able to get most of your earthly possessions into the dual drawer system on the Sequoia. The interior dimension of each drawer will be 20" wide x 47" long.
I've attached a handful of pictures of our system on the Landcruiser which will be the closest comparison to the Sequoia. I've also attached a screen shot of a CAD model of our Sequoia system. I would love to provide additional details if anyone has any questions!
We have been receiving a lot of interest in this system and anticipate this is going to be a popular item! We have listed this for pre-order on our site, which secures your spot in our production queue. We have a few installs already scheduled in the coming weeks, so we'll update this forum as we have more detailed pictures!
