A day late and a dollar short....
I just found out there was a fantastic open house at Edwards AFB in October.. I saw some pix, it was awesome.
Anyway, they offer free public tours of the base. I'm sure they're somewhat limited, but it might be interesting anyway.
They are on alternate Fridays at 9 in the morning, last about 5 hours.
I'm planning on doing this, maybe sometime in January.
Anyone else interested in doing this?
They do ask for some info, they do a cursory background check before they admit you, so if you've been to an AQ training camp in Pakistan recently, better forget this.
Maybe we could combine this with a wheeling/overnight trip up to the Red Rock area.
