Most definitely. Do you have more? Are you related to Mr. Toyoda?

Yeah, I got it from Specter about a year ago at during one of their big sales. I paid about $75 or so at the time IIRC. I wish I had more to sell unfortunately I need this one. I got my front intake scoop (at the bib) from a Mud member about the same time. Maybe it'll crumble to dust in a few and I'll have to go the BTUMAN route.

That's why I asked about the discontinued part on the first page of this thread. Not the first time I went ahead and spent cash I didn't really have on an item for the Cruiser only to have it go to the "E" code a short while later.

Here's another one..

Ah yes, the air cleaner gasket! I had to called SOR just so I could sleep tonight and no new parts. All still discontinued.

What have others used to replace missing air cleaner inlet (part# 17751)?

Looking for custom application ideas...

How about a piece cut from the end of a rusty air cleaner, at the other end of the hose, then turned around with a mounting tab welded to it?

+1, here is mine installed on my 1980:

For comparison, here is the stock original that it replaced (minus the duct tape that was it holding together):

Well worth the money to me to have a nice bolt-on solution and not to have to shop for the right diameter and etc. Thanks BTUMAN.

Wonder if you could email me some pictures of your fan shroud as posted above? Did you fab that or someone else?

I need to get another one made for my 60.

Thanks, Elbert

i know who fabbed that shroud! his name was... toyota!

looks like a factory shroud to me..

Elbert, it was on that truck when I bought it, in good mostly stock condition, so I always assumed it was factory. I will take some more photos of it from different angles if you want though.

I was reading through this thread and found post 13 by platypusREX very interesting. I decided to try it with a change in the component selection. I chose a Reducing Hump Hose 3" ID to 2.75" ID made from black rubber with no reinforcement and a wall thickness of approximately .2”. This item was purchased from Intake Hoses, IntakeTubing, and Intake Clamps. I purchased two for $27.16 plus $10.20 for shipping and handling. I chose a 3" Polished Aluminum 35 Degree Elbow, P/N 9439. This item was purchased from Spectre Performance - Official Site for $19.99 plus $10.00 for shipping and handling. This elbow has the same angle as the horn to air filter housing which eliminates the torque on the hump reducers due to the assembly not aligning with the horn mounting tab. It is shorter than the 22 degree elbow and does not require any trimming. As close to being the perfect part for this particular application. I originally tried this with a 22 degree elbow and found that I had to trim ¾” from each end and when the assembly was installed there was obvious torque to the hump reducers. This information is in my ROTW. I am posting on this thread so any one who is going to try it is aware that the 35 degree elbow and not the 22 degree elbow originally used on my ROTW is the best one to use.

Edit: This is 13" long and the ID at the ends looks to be 3.5". It's fairly soft plastic and probably wouldn't hold up to heat very well.

I was in Lowe's the other day and I saw a TroyBilt backpack blower on display. I was like,

I didn't get a chance to measure it, but check out #6, "Flex Tube":

I bought a piece of tubing from BTUMAN and it's damn close, maybe a little long.

I ordred twice the bulk commercial material and will make more sections. Taking orders now for shipping next Monday. My PayPal is d.todd.gatewood on the gmail site. $25 flat to lower 48 states PM me for other shipping cost . Still less than $10 more than that paper thin stuff at AutoZone or OReily and it looks as close to factory as I have ever seen. I will take better than phone pictures soon for those who need more info.

Still have some left for those who still may need it.

May take you up on one to have. I'm trying to find the front air intake piece and need to finish rebuilding a carb before removing a Weber 38 and returning Ole Yeller to stock carboration for the first time since I've owned her.

Yeah...any pics from showing left and right would be good. it just looked like someone made it, so if toyota its in great shape for the year of the vehicle.

I would like to have something similar on my 60 but modifed to accept the V-8 clutch fan .

can you tell me roughtly how thick the shroud is....the distance from teh readiator core to the edge of the lip where the fan blades clear? Just looking for a rough number..

Thanks...

I can do that no problem, except that it won't be until later this week - I'm in Ireland at the moment but will be headed home soon.

...I'm trying to find the front air intake piece

Check your email. I may have a lead on one.

If/when you order one of these hoses, order 2. ;)
