Sure. I'll cut you one and get it to you.

Yes. I still do these. I'm heading to CO for off-roading on the trails for a week and will be back next week and can get one out to you. Just let me know. Olive is my favorite color.

That is a great looking rig. Mine has a long way to go but I am loving every minute of it. Did I see you are in the Houston area? I will be there in a couple of weeks for business. Let me know the best way to get one from you when you are back.
Thanks
Jim

Ok- I have more material and making these up if anyone is that still needs one.

Any idea if this will work for the defroster vent hoses on a 40? I had used central vacuum hose on the driver's side of my 71 "Charlotte" a decade or so ago. Well, the passenger side has shredded and I need to replace it. I measured 2.5" but I wouldn't be surprised if 2.75" could be made to work.

BTW, my '76 40 is that olive brown and she's named....Olive :)

That is a good idea. I have the smaller diameter material in stock as well that would work perfect. It would be a permanent replacement- this stuff is indestructible.

How many inches do you need and I can get you a price.

Sorry, just now seeing your reply. I used to get instant emails whenever someone replied to a thread I was subscribed to. Guess I'll have to go re-enable those settings. Anyway, I think it's a couple feet long for the defroster hose. Is this stuff sold by the inch or by the foot?

I'll pm you.

Welcome to the Forum! At times it will be your best friend and will result in loss of sleep and urge to upgrade.

On the air cleaner hose, just PayPal me $28 and I will get it to you. Mark it goods and services so your address comes through and I pay the fee. Email in the thread here some. If not PM me.

Thought I would ping this for those who don't use search and are wanting to add this air intake to their Land Cruiser. I will be back in town on Monday and can make more. I still have some material left to make for those who are looking.

Thanks. Wife got it for me. Chris makes these and he is a Mud member. See his website. Cool stuff.

Any idea how to contact Chris? I like the sign you have, but the ones on the website are different - more square rather than rectangular. No contact links on the website either?

I am still interested in this stuff to replace the defroster hose on my '71 40.

What is the internal Diameter and length? If it is oval and not round that will be ok- it's flexible, but would need to know the equivalent ID. I believe it will take a smaller hose size but probably a good application.

2-3/8", and it is round. 2 feet would likely be plenty - basically from the side of the heater box up to the underside of the top of the dash. I had bought and used some central vacuum hose from a vacuum cleaner place to repair the driver's side many moons ago, but the passenger side disintegrated last winter and I couldn't find whether I had bought enough of that vacuum cleaner hose to have any left over. That business I got the hose from is long gone. You can click on the web site link in my sig line for direct contact info.

I have exactly the right diameter for this of this same material. When I started doing the air intakes I explored other options. Send me $30 and I will get it to you as a first user discount if you will post up the pictures when done. I measured after getting back in town tonight and the material is exactly 2-3/8 inner diameter. Will last a lifetime.

This is actually a new application for this type hose material and if it works like it should then I will make these available for all the Hester Hose applications.
