Worked out a system so it is not so much work, so I do plan to continue to offer. All will be shipped priority mail with delivery confirmation. So I will continue to offer.

Great! Once I get the 40 a little further along I'll be in touch... should be pretty soon...

I ordred twice the bulk commercial material and will make more sections. Taking orders now for shipping next Monday. My PayPal is d.todd.gatewood on the gmail site. $25 flat to lower 48 states PM me for other shipping cost . Still less than $10 more than that paper thin stuff at AutoZone or OReily and it looks as close to factory as I have ever seen. I will take better than phone pictures soon for those who need more info.

Mine was waiting in the mail when I got home from a business trip; thanks! Quality is great, nice thick rubber. I will post a photo of it after I get it cut and installed, but my engine bay is not as clean as yours.

Thanks. About the best dollars I've spent for what I got. Glad others feel the same.

The hose is oil resistant and low internal resistance to allow maximum air flow.

Reinvesting small profits in other cruiser gear on here to keep the dollars in the family. Just bought on of the old cruiser emblem with the cash leftover from the last batch. Pic to show thickness.

Good point. Any other solutions out there please post.

Mine is the best I have found and I have been looking for a while. Material is just not cheap and others wanted it.

You have to buy in bulk- 11 to 22 feet, so we are really dong a group buy. It is not like you can just go pick up somewhere or I would have just posted that. I make $6-8 for each one sold and for that I order, cut, package and ship. If you need a few, let me know.

This also fits the 1979 and up oval scoop intake which really make this intake hose the holy grail of FJ40 intake hose replacements.

See pics.

Grainger and/or McMaster-Carr sell it... about $100-115 for 11 feet plus shipping. Then take orders, cut, pack and ship...

Unless you have need of more than a couple of feet it is a better idea to buy here.

For comparison, here is the stock original that it replaced (minus the duct tape that was it holding together):

Well worth the money to me to have a nice bolt-on solution and not to have to shop for the right diameter and etc. Thanks BTUMAN.

good find on that replacement...you should start a for sale ad in the classifideds area to get your gem more exposure accross the board :)

Thanks Johnny. I did so I hope this helps out a lot of other folks.

Spoke to a guy this week that found a Toyota Original at some small town and was so excited. Only to find it come to pieces in a matter of days it was so dry rotted. Had been on the shelf for 30 years it appeared.

Hi guys,
I'm a diesel guy, just passing through and saw that you guys were looking for Air intake hose replacement options. I have had good luck with these guys:
Intercooler Pipe Fabrication - Silicone Intake Systems Auto Parts
For the short section that you are buying should be pretty cheap. They are pretty much a one stop shop and the hose is built for air intakes. Just a thought. Good luck!

Most definitely. Do you have more? Are you related to Mr. Toyoda?

Yes, don't order a replacement from Mr. T. My original breather hose lasted from 12/81 until 2006. I bought a "new" hose from Toyota in 2006, for something like $70. I thought that was ridiculous but figured if it lasted another 25 years I could live with the price. The new hose began to disintegrate almost immediately and within a year looked worse than the old hose. When I complained, Toyota (parts manager) told me the hose had probably been stored in a warehouse for over 25 years and that rapid deterioration was to be expected. Still pisses me off.

I'll be ordering one of these.
