Air Boat Ques. for Daryl

Ok so since I'm Broke and not building on Rigs I'm tinkering on the Boat. So it's in a hundred pieces getting cleaned up and such. I got the 454 tore down and found that the intake was not leaking @ the bolt holes but on the center water jackets. Only the very top and not back into the engine just out by the head to intake. No big deal I think a slight over sized gasket will solve this.

Now Questions
1. Have you had the heads off....Thinking of replacing head gaskets.
2. Do you know what engine this is it has High Performance stamped on the heads.
3.Do you still have that hei dist for FJ40
4. And How have you been?

Nope, never did. Still factory fresh as far as I know. I don't think it have vary many hours on it at all.

I called the boat manufacturer outside of Beaumont, TX and they told me the 454cid was a new GM longblock. Application was late 80's HD one ton van if I remember correctly. Something like 400hp I believe.

Butch, remember my work van is considered a one ton chassis. I think they put some big blocks in those.

Sorry, I should have gone on to say that I think it was a "P" series or step van. It was a HD application.
