Air Bags

Does the FJ Cruiser have a way to disconnect the air bag system? I can see them going off at the wrong time. I'm a real nubie when it comes to off roading so HELP.

Dont worry about it...You can disconnect them but I promise they wont go off.

I am "almost" positive it can be disconnected. I've had mine for 13k with lots of off road time which has included some sudden unplanned stops and no interior explosions. So I feel when they do go off, I will be happy they did.

airbags are not hyper sensitive like 1st generation airbags. You won't have to worry about offroading with bags unless you decide to do some 30mph offset crash testing on a rockface
