Hey all

I swear I searched first but if someone finds a thread to address this, post it and I’ll move on!!

Installing a 2” dobinsons IMS lift (when it finally arrives) with 275/65/18s. Want to go with a matte black wheel that is nearly flush with the wheel well.
What is the best offset?? I have found 0, +18, -10 options.

I’m super confused which one will fit best.

thanks!

I don’t have the best picture to offer, but my wheels are 8.5” wide with a -10 MM offset and the outside edge of the wheel itself sits pretty close to flush with the fender. Keep in mind a 8” or 9” wide wheel will change what the offset means for the wheel.

My 285/70R17 tires stick out a little past the fender/wheel though.

Dobinson lift with SPC UCA's. Wheels are 18" Black Rhino's with zero offset and 275 65 18 Toyo AT3's. Yes, it does rub but I have not had a chance to trim, heat, etc. anything yet.

Looks great! That’s the exact set up I’m looking to run. I’m a little concerned that you mentioned it rubs, because I really was looking for zero rubbing. Where does it rub and how much? Do you think it will take serious trimming to fix?

I run the same width and offset wheel (285/70/18's on 8.5" wide -10mm offset wheels) as @jmanscotch and like he said they sit close to flush if not just ever so slightly outside of the fender. I think it's a good offset that is slightly more aggressive than a +/-0mm but not quite as extreme as the -18/34mm offsets that some offer. That said, I find myself looking at a more aggressive offset more and more lately if not just going with a LT setup, silly, I know.

What lift are you running?? Any rub or mods?

Ironman FCP’s set to roughly 2.5”. TC UCA’s, BMC along with trimming of the liners, no rubbing under any circumstances. You might be able to go to a 295 with this setup without rubbing but a 285/75 would definitely rub.

Im doing a 2” dobinsons ims. I’m really looking to do 275/65/18 with 0 offset and not rub too much (only plastic trimming).
What says the crowd??

I still rub pretty good but I also have not had the body mount chop done or any trimming yet.
I will try to get a feel where it is rubbing tomorrow when I take her out.

Dang. The guy on GXOR FB said 275/65/18 would clear fine on 2” lift but maybe it’s the wheel offset??

Did you have any rubbing?? Any mods needed?

I answered in my previous post.
