New A/F sensor when I got a 1135 code. New gasket. Ran great for a week or so then kicked a 1135 and P0420.

Stealership says it needs a cat. OEM catalytic prices are pretty tough. Anyone have long term success stories to share with aftermarket options? Source suggestions?

TIA

I have no personal experience with this company or product..but I am thinking they might know a thing or two about dealing with factory codes on after market exhaust products..Borla exhaust systems
might be a better link but I searched and found this one..
Race Pages - 2002 Toyota Borla
Of course then I was thinking this route might be more cash than OEM.... maybe search the wreckers for the part from a low miler and newer model year if the part is the same

Ordered a pair of Magnaflow weld in replacements from Summit. We'll see.

I was getting P0420 codes in my wife's 00 4runner for about 2 years off and on. I replaced the rear 02 sensor, cleared the codes and it came back on a few weeks later. Then a friend of mine suggested spacing the rear 02 sensor out of the exhaust stream a little more. So I cut the mounting flange off the old sensor and used it as a spacer. It's only a 1/4" or so difference but it's been 6 months now with no light.
