Just purchased a low mileage 2013 Tundra Platinum Crewmax. I love the truck.. but I am not a fan of the 20” rims. Great as long as you drive smooth roads all the time. Since my other vehicle is an 80 series.. I am not inherently conditioned to staying on the pavement.

So my question. Will 18” or even 17” rims fit with the correct clearances and backspacing? Thinking about keeping an eye-out in the classifieds for official Toyota rims that someone swapped out in favor of aftermarket versions.

Great having a Tundra.. what an awesome truck!

18" are also a factory option so they will fit without an issue

TRD Pro rims are all 18" so those are an option if you are looking to stay factory and lose some weight at each corner

I’ve heard there are a rare few 17” wheels that fit, but to be safe stick with 18”.

I’ve got 18” methods and looking to update or re-powder coat soon and keeping my eye out for trd or similar take offs in 18”. My methods didn’t hold up to the saltwater abuse very well.

Thanks for all the info. Now I just need to find a set of the elusive 18” rims. Definitely going that route as 20” rims and 55 series are not good candidates for airing down!

I have a set of takeoff TRD pro BBS rims from my Sequoia that I'd part with for $1500+ shipping but I'm in MA. Changed them when new at the dealer and they are in the boxes of the wheels I swapped for. No clue what shipping would be but I bet you can find some local deals on CL that would be cheaper and easier, but it's an option

Thanks @VentoGT for the offer. Just need to find something a little closer to Nevada.

Good morning, I'm new to the forum and decided to register bc of the comment above. In the event those rims don't get scooped up by the gent you offered them to, I'm interested. I'll keep my eyes peeled! Ty

The Rock Warrior 17 rims barely fit, if I recall. Otherwise 18" works fine.

I fit 35x11 (285 75 18) on mine, no rubbing at full tilt with no modifications other than an OME lift and ARB bull bar. Yokohama X-AT comes in that size. I think't it's listed as a hair over 35"

@Raisehell Welcome to the forum and hope you stick around a while - send me an email cpo276 [at] gmail and we can discuss!

17's fit but they're so close to the brake caliper. They're so close that the first time we had them balanced they tore off all the wheel weights. That being said, once we knew what was happening, we went back to discount and had them re-balanced and kept that area of the barrel clear of weights and everything worked out.

I'm running Icon wheels on my truck until our shipment of wheels arrive and then I'll be going to 18's.

I have a set of Rock Warriors (my Tundra is a RW, but it’s on 20’s due to longer spindle arms as part of the 6” lift / 17’s became too small, but 37’s put enough sidewall to not feel like your driving something like 245/40r17’s (happen to have those on my project car).

If you’re willing to spend for RW used is best option right now / HTF full set right now new - or - If you want brand spanky new RW wheels @ ~$500 ea, I’ll toss my VIN your way.

I guess you need a RW edition VIN at some dealers to get wheels/parts. :meh:
