Hi, im new to the forum and to the wonderful world of the 40.

Have a 1975 panelvan with 350chev, holley650, t350 gearbox and original transfer case. 31's are new(ish) so reluctant to lash out on another full set yet. me and my bro have done a bit of work on it already; new electrics, dual batteries, front and back bars, x4spotties up front, dual swing-out spare wheel holders at the back with work lights.

i live in western australia; the 40 is mainly for sand and trail, very little rock-climbing out here :). plus there can be long trips on the tarmac to get to good spots (eg 3-8 hours on the highway...)

to upgrade my highway manners, and to save on petrol on the longer trips, i wanted a 4-speed auto. any advice on what would sit nicely behind the chev? i was looking at a t700. i also wanted to put in a new petrol tank; under the passenger seat is already taken with the dual battery setup. I would appreciate any ideas / pics that people have.

Cheers
