I need to adjust this switch closer to the clutch pedal arm because half the time I have to press the Clutch Override dash switch to start the engine. On my truck this switch has no adjustment, it is fixed in one position on a reinforced mounting bracket.

How does one adjust the switch, or does one have to goon the bracket?:meh:

You should never have to adjust the electric switch. There is something more going on like possibly a crack in the pedal bracket assembly surround, leaking clutch fluid, or a worn out clutch, or improperly adjusted throw rod.

It's fairly common on the 89-95's and has also been seen on the 95.5-up's.
Pic of a 89-95 assembly for reference.

I took the assembly out last month when I replaced the pedal bushings. Wasn't cracked then. Clutch cylinders not leaking. Clutch only has 64K easy miles on it. I've had the problem since last summer. Very intermittent. Using the override switch works around the problem and allows me to start the engine.

So I dorked the bracket a bit at the switch mounting location and the problem is still there. Also, when the pedal arm touches the little white actuator shaft on the switch I hear an obnoxious dull click. No click when the switch has been removed.

Guess I'll live with the problem until I can replace the switch.

You may want to double check to make sure the firewall isn't flexing...it happened on some of the older T100s.
