Exploring the possibility of adding AC to a cruiser. Does anyone know a shop that could do custom AC work for me in the Austin, TX area?
Thanks

AC guru

and another 45 days to look forward to!!!! I was told it would cost $4K for new AC out of Australia, there has to be someone who can rig an AC unit off a US toyota product that should work.
Any AC gurus in Dallas you know of???

Where did you get the quote for the AC in Australia?
I'm in Townsville, Queensland and i'm looking to install AC into my BJ70.
The local guy says he can't find anything...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A little more info- I have emailed cmoney offline. He is strongly considering putting in a 1hd-te, done by Proffits.

Cox Automotive on E Cesar Chavez, he did my 87, great job. They got a guy there that's familiar with Cruisers, he also makes the inspection happen (legally)

Paul Cox is a personal friend of mine, and the shop purchases all the Vintage Air Units from Cruisercrap.com. The do great work.

What about a universal Vintage air unit? I would have to take a look at your truck to see what would fit - what side of Austin are you in?

Mat, I don't know where the AC is coming from in Aus. My cruiser builder didn't say, sorry!
Jason, thanks for the added info, the motor will make a difference.
Mark, you have a pm.
Thanks all!

Vintage Air

I talked to the folks at Vintage Air in San Antonio today. It sounds like they have units for all kinds of vehicles. I'm encouraged by the wide variety of sizes and applications they have. Has anyone ever used their products before?
