On my LX470, when I select the AC button, I get a drag on the engine, a squeeling noise and shortly thereafter the light on the AC button begins flashing. Pretty sure that means my compressor is toast and not just the clutch or bearing. I know my evaporator under the dash leaks and I don't want to disassemble the dash at the moment. So, can I (should I) only replace the compressor? Or should I also replace the condenser and... what else? TIA

evap isn't that bad to replace I've replaced them with out removing the dash but you have to cut the lower glove box mount and bend it out of the way. then you put a strip of aluminum behind it and rivet it back in place. can only see it if your squatted next to the truck looking for it.
id do it all and flush the condensor and lines. dryer is cheap too.
