So due to some stupidity on my part I lost pressure of my brake lines, leaking fluid while and losing brakes while driving. Luckily I was right around the corner from my house. This obviously set off the ABS alarm. I just did a full brake job, new calipers, pads, rotors, SS lines, brake fluid flush.
The ABS alarm is still sounding, I am getting ABS code 52 (using the E1 to TC pin method). I tried resetting the alarm doing the 8 brake pumps but it doesn’t work. When I put my key to the on position I hear the brake booster motor run for like 10 sec or something, then it stops, then it kicks on again. It continues to do this, the motor doesn’t ever stop kicking back on. I drove the truck up and down the block. Brakes seemed ok, maybe a bit soft, and a buck clunk/grind after coming to a complete stop. It should be noted I haven’t bedded in the new pads and rotors yet.
Do I need a new brake booster assembly? 1999 LC and it appears to be the original assembl. About 260k miles on the truck.
Thanks!
