My 1985 pickup is having problems shifting in/out of overdrive. It drives fine in 1,2,3rd but is clunking into/out of O.D. . I am looking form a quality shop like the E.Coast shop Level 10 . Anyone know of an excellent transmission repair shop?

IF he hasn't yet retired, might talk to Billy at G&S on Palma Dr. in Ventura.
Thanks for the contact. Billy seemed to know about the A340H and common issues with it and the joined transferase. He is going to check his sources for a remanufacture unit. He will reply mid week after holiday.

I am still looking. I think Billy has run out of gas. He only found one place, a shop in Eastern Washington state that would rebuild both for a set price of $5K. I just need to pay for shipping and R&R.
Anyway, I missed out on an almost new old stock trans. and transfer case. CL Las Vegas had a vandalized theft recovered 1985 SR5 with 357 miles org. miles listed for $4K.

My truck is still down. Looking for separator plate part # 35432-35010 which is discontinued thru Toyota. I'm sure there is one NOS somewhere in the world just haven't found it.
