Before I wax philosophic, I would like to thank TeamJB for the gauge cluster that allowed me to rebuild my old one. Without you I would still be driving with my spit whetted finger out the window to try and determine my speed (not like I would go fast enough to get a ticket or anything). This is also when I had my epiphany to make a contribution to support the site which has really given me so much. To all the moderators and supporters of the site that have given me support over the past few years...THANK YOU!

So, there I was elbow deep, standing on a milk crate, dripping oil on the garage floor, hand bleeding while cursing the Toyota engineer that buried this little wonder so deep down in the 1HZ engine that I felt like I was on a quest to get the "One Ring" to Mt. Doom. Despite the unique combination of tools needed, I finally got the oil pressure sender all hooked up and miraculously, it ALL WORKED! So, I then thought to figure out why. I have continuously been amazed at the Swiss watch like design of parts on this truck. So simple, yet so elegantly and thoughtfully designed. So I cracked the case open. Smarter heads than I will understand how this variable resistor works. I just know that the line of blackened crusty corrosion in the bottom of the case could likely be the cause of the short/over voltage situation that melted my gauge.

So with that, I have a gauge cluster that might be of use to someone else. 24v three plug on the back. DM to let me know if you are interested. Clear plastic is broken at the lower tabs (but wouldn't be visible when installed) and I added back my melted oil pressure gauge to it. However, the tach, speedo, temp gauge, case, bulbs and wiring sheet are all usable.

Cool shot of the dissected sending unit! I may have to replace mine at some point, so thanks for the heads-up on the difficulty level; I'll be sure to stock up on lembas bread before I get started.
