A journey with my boys- The Elf Barn as I call it.

Been on the hunt for a drill press upgrade. Floor model I have works but run out is getting worse and parts of it are failing. Was not looking for this but it was $200 from a liquidation sale for a prototyping place that went bust. Definitely better drill press. Lathe feature is a plus. Great starter lathe to learn on. Came with a few extras.

Best blessings are meeting great people through it all. Friends in it add the lively dimension to the otherwise inanimate.

Speaking of inanimate objects, when are you going to show us how to clean ditches with that 3 pt hitch blade you bought? :D
Haha! Shortly. Wife has me on the chicken stuff! We only have 6. Feels like 6 kids worth of shtuff to get sorted. Built a coop, “mobile over the planter bed run”, perches, etc. Had the bright idea to rotate the run over each of the beds so the manure and composting happens “in-bed”. No need for separate waste area. It needs to elevate about 18” to relocate. Dreamed up a scheme that would put Daimler to shame. Something about 8” casters, 1” coarse thread all thread and nuts, double lipped sealed bearings, etc. for jack screws at four corners. :princess: Used a 1/2” Milwaukee to raise and lower it.

Never had a rat problem. I am down two radiator hoses. One on my Kubota skid steer and another on my 40. Came in to the barn with alien green juice on the floor. So been building a mini city of traps.

Also, we cant seem to get enough of golden retrievers. New pup selection was not easy. Lonestar will have junior gal shortly. Dog proofing added to the list.

So, no excuses, but excuses. Old Ford is still a blast. Seat time is better than being a Mongolian monk during prayer.

I did a bucket trap under the house when we first moved in, it was like rat soup. Cats have done the work since.
