Congrats @Cowboy45 that will be an amazing experience

Way to go @Cowboy45 !

On another proud papa moment, @Cowboy45 (youngest elf) got a Summer Internship at Caterpillar. He will be working out of the Ft. Worth location. Rare as a sophomore.
Congratulations. I am confident that more will follow. Your sons will continue to amaze you and make you proud.

Like you, our children find ways to amaze us and make us proud. Most recently, our youngest let it slip that she had passed her medical boards (like her older sister). With some prying, she added passed at the 99 percentile. I could only offer a 'wow' and a hug.

Apples do not fall too far from the tree. Kudos to you and your bride. You are in for a ride now! Start planning some appropriate toasts because you will need them.

Preparing for whiskey sours and (cheap) cigars in the evenings by the fire. Used the Mccolluch saw. Budda.

With chickens, garden, yardwork, need to make mulch. Found this on the book for $100. Just did a tune up (carb rebuild, air filter, fuel filter, rinsed tank out, fresh ethanol free gas) and she purrs! Also installed a fuel shutoff. An old geezer told me once to keep carb from getting fuel dirty, to shut fuel valve off and allow it to run until fuel runs out. Then store. Open valve when you need to use again

I do that on every piece of equipment and it has never failed me.

As part of routine on being a little healthier, I make this weekly. Water melon gatorade. One watermelon, 10 limes, 1.5 TBsp of celtic salt. Blend. Keeps well for a week. I realized its a superfood. Better than any of the other name brand stuff.

There's a truck I'm far to familiar with. My father and I fully restored this 55 3100 about 2 years ago. This picture was taken around Christmas right before he sold to a guy in Colorado

Curious. Had to try. Works great!!! Especially in deeper bays on the larger trucks!
