A journey with my boys- The Elf Barn as I call it.

My best half and I spent a few days in Destin/Ft.Walton beach for our 25yr wedding anniversary. She loves the beach! Best beaches around. Emerald water, white sand, swimmable without a wet suit. Even @Broski would agree. We also met up with extended family @thatcabledude and his posse. He took us to some cool spots including the red bar (legit!!) and up river to his river cabin and the best chill spot of bubbling fresh water springs that feed the rivers. Pristine waters. Didnt see any crazy Floridaman shait which would have been icing on the top. The boat rides upriver were very cool. I had the rare privilege of seeing two bald eagles in their element. First time ever to see them! What a treat!

I need to try something like that.
We don’t use roundup and I’m long past hating pulling weeds 😵‍💫

Close neighbors passed this on to me. If you know, you know. Old school. All magnesium case, 54cc. Torque monster. Innovative at their time. Manufactured in Los Angeles. Specs say 20:1 fuel/ oil ratio. Need to do some searching.

Saws like this are why there is no timber left in Los Angeles.

You are a motorcyle nut as I recall. 20:1 seems rich. Arborist site says 40:1 with amsoil saber. I like the Kawasaki oil. Any thoughts based on your past life?

CD, 99.78% of my bike mechanic experience is with four-stroke engines. I agree that 20:1 seems pretty rich; I bet that would go through some spark plugs pretty quick at that mix. But maybe the piston ring/cylinder wall metallurgy at that time required it?

On another proud papa moment, @Cowboy45 (youngest elf) got a Summer Internship at Caterpillar. He will be working out of the Ft. Worth location. Rare as a sophomore.
