Had problems with my A.D.D control system when I mounted the 6" lift. The control wires rubbed on the lift causing the insulation to wear bare and shorted out the system. I disconnected the factory computer to the front diff and installed a switch to inguage and disinguage the front wheels thru the ARB locker. Everything was going great until...

The switch is located right by my left knee by the steering column. While wheeling and getting stuck in the sand at surf and turf this year I hit the switch with my knee (which kept trying to activate the motor) and burned out the motor. Anybody experience the same or know where I can find a replacement A.D.D actuator motor ???

Replaced the A.D.D. got it thru the local dealer and the problem is solved. A bit tricky to install...

Bummer. The only sources I know would be the obvious ones, either a dealer or a junk yard. I'd guess that a late-model Taco or 4runner actuator would probably be the same part also.

Fear of your experience is what lead me to mount my actuator switch on the center console, somewhat protected by the shift lever and unlikely to be turned on accidentally:
