Keep giving me reasons to want to move out there please. That’s your daily drive?!

It a short detour but worth it when the sun is setting and the snow on Hood turns pink with Alpenglow.

@Mr Cimarron, @cruisermatt, @GLTHFJ60 I need some help on brakes. The brakes have no assist. Can I pull the hose from the booster to the vacuum pump and see if the pump is sucking. Mike doesn’t have this settup and so I need to find some answers.

Yeah pull the hose off the booster and see if it’s sucking. Is it stiff pedal?

Man Jason, Snowball is looking great!

That mountain looks familiar, here it is from my front porch

I wonder if Napa got me the wrong type of hose for the vacuum pump and it’s closing in on itself.

Are you sure your front drive shaft isn't too long? For your suspension setup it looks like you don't have enough slip yoke compression. It might bind under full droop. At least that's what it looks like to me.
It’s possible. Between ride height and lifting the front end off the ground with the forklift til the front tires came off the ground it only moved an inch. Ken at 6 States who did the driveshaft said if there were any issues to bring it back and he’d take care of it.

One thing Ken May have forgot was we were moving the axle back an inch. I’ll get some more pictures of the front drive shaft. I was so excited to drive it I wasn’t really too concerned about it. Thanks @White Stripe for your insight.

@4Cruisers my hood hardware is in need of replacement. I contacted you about it last year but got caught up in other parts of the swap. I’m ready for it now.
I think where we left off you needed the two front hood bumpers and prop rod holder. I still have the hood latch if you need it. I found everything in the garage this morning and I could mail it out tomorrow.

Can you send some of your snow this way too:rofl:

Interested to see what's up with the booster. I've never messed with one of the vacuum pumps myself.

One thing about doing all this stuff yourself is figuring out what’s causing the problem. I’m almost positive the guy got me the wrong hose. Looks like I need a 11/32 hose not 3/8. I guess they make them like this to differentiate if it is a fuel line or vacuum line. The vacuum pump is hopefully just sucking the hose closed and not being able to suck in from the booster.

As far as driving goes, this 4BT/ NV4500 has a ton of torque. First gear for street driving is basically useless. So strange to sit in the same seat and yet have a new feeling vehicle.
Need to finish exhaust line, ebrake lines, install shocks, figure out brake issue, and get insurance and registration with DMV.
As far as insurance goes, on a swap like this how do you figure value?
