98-02 Electrical Wiring Diagram

Was looking through multiple threads but cannot seem to find a EWD specific for 98-02?? I have download the link with all the 2004 FSMs that another member has provided but wasn't sure if anyone had their hands on the 98-02 info.

Specifically I am looking for door lock mechanism information with color codes. My remote start installer told me today that they got a somewhat generic one from Compustar that gave them what wires they needed with "attached to black connector" but nothing other than that. This is so the system can control my door locks as well as I will more than likely upgrade my system to the DRONE Mobile LTE system next year. The system currently allows their fob to control the door locks within the improved range of the remote start transponder (so up to 3000' 2-way communication) but they want to make sure they know which box they are getting into properly before trying to do anything.
They are contacting CompuStar tomorrow to get further information but was trying to help out depending on how long they take to get back to the shop.

First off, where did you get the book?
Secondly, does it show/tell where the control module/ECU for the locks is located? When I was looking through the 2004 FSM it looked like it was behind the rear diff lock/mirror adjustment switch area, but my installer was saying most are located in the kick panel on the PS.

There are about eight listed on eBay for around $30.

The door locks are driven by the Instrument ECU that lives above your radio and has three connectors. The wireless receiver is the one behind the Rear Diff Lock switch.

I got this but don't exactly know if it's accurate. It does say 98' Landcruiser but V8 petrol model I think... how close that is to my version IDK, probably more close to yours.

Yeah that is for US 4.7l V8 petrol model... I think this is probably what they are talking about. Looking at it there really isn't a HUGE blatant description of where/which box is needed for the door locks. Does definitely look like it is on the PS kick panel/glove box area but that is pretty much where the majority of the ECUs are located. They were hoping there was a definitive (box has XYZ marked on it) so they are not pulling the wrong plugs. Talking to him, my buddy believed he knew which box it was but of course it was buried behind multiple others, so before he starts tearing things down to get to it he just wanted to confirm.
