Hey everyone,
I've loved my LC for a long time, but had to re-do the head gasket and mill everything (including valves) down and I can't afford that as a grad student with a 18 month old son. Here we go:

1996 Toyota Land Cruiser with 227,087 mi

Location is ITP ATL. If you don't know what that means it is probably too far for you, but means inside the perimeter of Atlanta, Ga.

Generally its a pretty OEM machine without any mods. I previously owned a 60 series and always meant to start moding but never did. Has OEM central locks for low transmission.

All the pics I could think of:
Picasa Web Albums - M C - LandCruiser

*Note: I have the third row of seats in a closet in my house with the bolts, and they are of course included. I prefer them out but can install them for you*

If you want any other shots just let me know.

I did most of the work my self, though some shop work was done (ie milling the heads, the valves, etc) with more being done myself.
Just replaced:
Spark-plugs (OEM)
Spark-plug wires (NAPA premium*)
Rotter Button (NAPA premium*)
Distributer Cap (NAPA premium) [can you tell I was trouble shooting a misfire yet?]
Head Gasket kit (OEM, had everything machined while it was off, now holding compression)

*NAPA guarantees these for life, no questions asked. All you have to do is bring them in and they will give you a new one.

Has been replaced:
PHH (over rated from local company: Precision Hose, Inc. ; can work up the exact specs if needed)
Radiator (OEM)
O2 sensors (OEM)
Catalytic Converter (OEM, but from a bone yard)
Other disposables (belts, hoses, etc)
I'm sure I'm forgetting more just ask

Known Issues:
1) Driven around for about 20 mi while I was trouble shooting the mis-fire (which turned out to be the HG), so about a gallon of coolant was burned through the exhaust. The MIL is not on and I haven't seen it come on since I replaced the head (about 70 mi), BUT I know that's not good for the exhaust and I believe in complete disclosure.
2) Break pads at about 35%
3) The worm drive on the power seating is off. The motor works when I take the seats out, but I haven't taken the time to trouble shoot it. I just ratcheted the front seats to where I wanted them.
4) The front leather has seen better days, see photos. I drive with a steering cover but photo was taken with it off.
5) Front right speaker rattles in low frequencies all others fine.
6) Driver vanity mirror shattered
7) Paint scraped on rear passenger wheel well
8) Lock on Driver's door fell into door after coming loose. It's still in there, I just haven't taken the time to take the door off and the paneling to re-install it.
9) Antenna needs to be re-threaded; sits half way now and gets clear AM & FM (motor still works)
10) The treble cover on the equalizers has come off.
11) Non-standard features include single disc CD player and moon roof, which both are still operational.

This is a good 80's to start with for anyone looking to get into the mod market at a good price.

Quick note, it never went offroading on my watch, and the previous owner (bought at 90k mi) claimed never to have. Given the ease I've had working with it, I think that it has not done anything more serious than drive across a grassy lot [truly tragic I know].
