Hi,

My son told me that his ABS light came on and when he was braking, the pedal was pulsating. I opened the hood and checked brake fluid. Obviously, it was almost empty. I added brake bluid and it fixed the ABS light. Now is the question. Does it sound like the master cylinder has a very slow leak (car has 195k miles and I beleive it has original Master Cylinder) in Master cylinder or one of the calipers is leaking?

Thanks,
Alex

I would bleed the calipers first before you start buying parts that you might not need to replace. Check and see if there are still pads left. And if so replace it. Allot of the times the brakes feel sponge is because there are air in the brake lines. A simple bleed on all four wheels might fix the problem. Also are the Disc been resurfaced a few times?
