Wanted 95-97 Land Cruiser

Looking for a 95-97 LC in the Midwest; best would be Indiana, Illinois or Ohio.

Do not want to buy a major restoration project. Any color OK except rust.

Will also consider Lexus version as well.

Bump and Scammers

BTW- Be careful out there. I found an ad for a 97 40th An. Edition LC with 94k miles for $4750. This person claims that they just got divorced due to the fact that their significant other cheated on them IN THE LC . (The cruiser is a powerful aphrodisiac )So they are basically wanting to dump it due to all the trauma, as it was part of the divorce settlement. BTW, the ad is no longer active.

The guy/girl (the emailer wont divulge his/her name) said all I have to do is send in the money to the Yahoo escrow service (did not know they had one) and he/she will have it shipped all the way across the country at their expense. If I don't like the vehicle for any reason they offered to have it sent back at no charge. Right away my BS detector is on high alert.

He/She won't give me his name or a phone number that works (claims the phone company is working on the phone line and it is down .)

He/She did however give me the VIN of the vehicle. On the very slim chance this is legit, is their any way to find out who the vehicle is currently registered to? This sounds very fishy. If he/she is a scammer I would like to have this person banned from Autotrader at least.
