Hey all, seeing how I now am a paying member I feel like I can list this. It is time for me to sell my long time dd. I think it would best be sold for parts but it is runnable still. Frame is getting to the point of no return. I will try to get some pics posted, may take me a few days to take them and post them, but here is a description:
1989 Toyota standard cab, 5 Spd, 22re, has a cap/has a work rack(currently on) Engine is strong and has been well maintained over the years.
The Good:
Optima red top
Mean Green starter
BFG 31" on 15 rims, under 5k on them(still has the injection thingys)
New LCEngineering exhaust, header to tail, including high flow cat(seriously maybe 500 miles on it)paid 1k for the whole set up
AllPro E-brake
LCEngineering 35lb flywheel with over sized clutch(Turbo application)
Flexalite Fan
Budbuilt Crossmember/skid... not installed
The Bad:
Overall Body is fair to poor
250k + miles
dash board all banged up from attempted radio stealing.....ahh working in Revere
Frame, the main channels aren't bad, no holes/ or soft spots, just scaling.
The resistor pack for the fan controller speed for the heater is toast. Only works on high.
The down right Ugly:
Frame, the round tube crossmember is hurting.
the doors are getting some holes
the metal under the doors getting hole
The passneger side pillar at the bottom isn't pretty.
The Extras:
I was planning on keeping it and bought some body parts but never installed, you can take them with the truck.
They include:
driver's exterior pillar
kick boards for both sides under the doors.
If you want to drive it you could for awhile I think, I still do. It runs great, just the body is kind of reaching it. I have had the truck since 1992. I'm was asking 750.00 for it but would take 500.00 firm from a yt'er/mudd'er. Its well worth that in parts alone. I thought about parting it, but don't really want to spend the time.
PM oe e-mail at baycityt@comcast.net if you have any questions, I'm sure I left stuff out.
John
