Great 4runner,

1987 4runner Manual with 287,000 miles and runs like a champ!
Location: Fort Hood, Texas
Price $2500 obo (If this seems crazy please let me know)

I really hate to sell this as it came to us from my family and the Mud community but we are hoping to move to something with 4 doors and be more comfortable in cold weather before we get to Colorado in September. (newer 4runner/80 series)

Most of this is just from memory because I've been gone for the last 8 months so hang with me if you can...

The Good
Unfortunately i don't remember everything that was replaced by the previous owner so i think the bad will seem to outweigh the good.. but it has been a DD for me while i was home and never had any issues.
22re runs strong MPG 16/20 (August 2013)
Replaced Tie rod ends/ Alignment (March 2013)
Replaced Front shocks (July 2013)

The Bad
-Salvaged Texas title from water damage but i pulled all the carpet out and didn't see any issues.
-AC/heater stopped blowing just before I left.
-Power steering hose needs to be replaced.
-Rear wiper works from time to time sometimes just falls down.
-During the move i tore the headliner of the hard top probably a 3in tear if i remember right.

Asking $2500 obo (trades possible plus cash on my part for the right truck)
This isnt going on Craigslist in hopes another Mudder can give it a good home.

Currently I'm deployed to Egypt and will be back next month so I won't be able to sell it till I'm home in the states. I'll answer everything the best I can..

Nice truck!! I'm sure it will sell at such a great price.
Thanks Sam! Heres hoping it does!

Its been a blast to have so far and i really hate to sell it but we are just needing to move to a 4 door were hoping to just move to a newer 4runner

I really like both the 3rd and 4th gens. Had a 97 with the 3.4 that was awesome. 4WD and had the factory e-locker. The wifey is currently DDing an 08 V8 4WD which I also really like.

Thats what were hoping to move up to just a nice 3rd gen truck that my wife can drive in the snow without worries!

I've been considering maybe selling my 3rd gen for a cheaper 1st gen. It's a '99 black w/ tan lthr, factory 5 spd. 176k. Might be a bridge too far logistically tho if you're at hood. I'm at Redstone currently. I'd love to go to Carson tho if HRC has it in the cards.

Looks like an awesome truck i'm sure you wouldn't have any issue finding someone to swap with or at least to take it off your hands! but were looking for an automatic something that can be driven by everyone in the family.
