I just rebuilt my 22r aisin carburetor. I’m noticing it has quite a rough idle and stumble at idle when warm and off the choke cam. Can’t seem to figure out what it is. I’ve adjusted the mixture to the factory 3 1/2 turns out, messed around with it and don’t notice any change unless I turned it way out. So I left it as factory.

It’s desmogged, just running vacuum for the AAP, choke break, choke opener, HAI, and distributor ports.

I’m also noticing there’s not much give low on the throttle, almost feels like it’s slowing down with a little throttle, need to push it pretty far to actually accelerate.

Any tips?

The exhaust sounds like a misfire.

Boggy on acceleration can be too much fuel.

Non responsive to minute carb adjustments suggests an air leak.

did you just de-smog it? That sticker is hilarious.
It was desmogged ever since I got it. However the charge light circuit was cut somewhere so the electric choke wasn’t getting power. Was just running off the choke opener.

I sucked on the EGR valve and the engine stalled out so I think the EGR is staying shut.
