Hi Guys, ever since I have had my HZJ79 I have had a wiper issue, it is not very powerful, if the windshield is dry or there is a little snow it won't push it out of the way.

Since I got the truck I have replace the entire wire harness for the whole truck, and just replaced the wiper motor - still doing the same thing. I even replaced the wiper control on the column and no difference.

Could this be a grounding issue? The electrical manual says there is a wiper relay under the glove box but I cannot find one - and I don't remember it from when I replaced the main wire harness. Can another HZJ79 owner confirm that there is a relay under the glove box area for me please?

In the mean time I'll check the grounds again. what a bugger this is.

Thanks.

Louis

The ToyotDIY diagram shows it being in the same position as other 7* series,LH kick panel, towards the top(as Aussie25 correctly pointed out)
I guess you could almost say its under the glove box

No help here, but my 78 has the same issue, doesn't like a dry windshield or a decent amount of snow? On that same line my power windows are sloooow!

Joel.

I'm thinking it is a poor ground or the relay - going to start digging tomorrow.
