79 bj40 24v wiring harness install help

I'm putting the wiring harness back in my 79 24v B engine truck and was hoping for some ongoing help with identifying connectors.

First step, hooking up the edic and glow plugs.

On this end of a pig tail, I believe the green and white plugs are for the edic, the black plug is for the starter, and the black wire goes to the glow plugs.
Can someone please confirm this on their truck

i have 1980 bj44 those look correct for my truck

Looks like you are spot on with your marked up picture. The photo from my engine bay seems to confirm. Only difference I can see is the connection I have to the voltage regulator on my 12V "79 BJ which doesn't seem to be on your harness.

Next order of business. What is this little wire for?

And second. I don't have any sort of negative cable. I assume the negative goes here and straight to the frame?

White with a black trace is always an earth/ground.
