A friend with an FJ40 wanted me to check if anyone local was interested. He's looking for a fairly quick sale in the mid teens. It's a 1976 with about 60,000 actual miles. I forgot to check the exact number. He bought it in 1980 and after using it for a couple years it was put in temperature controlled storage for over 30 years. After getting it out a couple years ago, he towed it to Olathe and got it running again. Basic maintenance stuff was done like a new distributor, plugs and wires along with a few hoses and the new tires.

It's been desmogged and runs a header and Holley carb. Fenders are cut. There is evidence that the driver side rear fender has been replaced and the spare tire carrier was not reinstalled. This was prior to his purchase. Headliner is missing and the drivers seat has the usual tears. There are a few leaks, the worst of which is the steering box. There is virtually no rust. You can see some starting on the rear sill, but, from underneath it still looks solid. Front and rear doors close easily with good gaps. The side mirrors are aftermarket and several small holes have been drilled here and there for some unknown purpose. It's got 4 new tires on white spokes. The spare is old and bald.

I took some pictures today, but they didn't turn out great. I know he has more and hopefully better ones.

He put it up on Ebay. Clearly he can write a better add than I can. Plus a ton more pictures.
