Hello all,
Looking for help with pin diagram for the round plug on back of 74 fj55 instrument gauge. Appears a little different than the fj40 pin arrangement. Been searching for a few days to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pics for reference, my gauge is the second pic

NOTE :

while many of the 40 and 55 have shared / same in kind color coded tracer stripes ...

such as :

-
YELLOW w/ RED tracer is Always the Fuel Tank Sending Unit Signal to the cluster meter Gauge

-
YELLOW w/ Black tracer is the Oil Pressure Sending unit to the cluster meter gauge

- this general rule is
NOT a good guide on a FJ55 verses FJ40 , and other circa era Toyota like a HILUX pickup for example ...

- the
FJ55 began in 1967 and kept on trucking all the way to 8/80 , in all that time it saw only minor updates and remains one of the most unique UNICORN TOYOTA Vehicles TOYOTA ever made

- the HAYNES Manual is a MUST having a
55

- the
F.J55 also has its OWN unique Chassis & BODY too ....... another MUST HAVE ...

- the FJ55 , did have a evolution into the FJ56 , there was also a BJ56 with a B Series Engine , then 2B and finally 3B

- 8/80 was the Major Update to the FJ40 , and introduction of the FJ60 and BJ60 , these were the Next evolution of the Land Cruiser Station Wagons

i was the caretaker of BIG YELLOW , she was a 1/79 FJ55LG-KA USA Spec,

i loved her and i miss her now as i discuss all things 55 Series  , she will always be my first true love ....:D

@my383z ;
It's Time To Saddle Up Your UNICORN !

thanks for letting me share

matt ...

NOTE : the 1st green chassis body and it's EWD Diagrams are for the 1969 and 1970 Modle Years you will see a EARLY and a LATE on the foot notes :

publication # as well ..

Note : The below is the unique USA spec. 1980 EWD where TOYOTA 1st experimented with actual Pin-Out # locations in each terminal bay and a graph chart Alpha / Numeric to help locate the Devices and system circuits , i never understood WHY they did not continue this really BIG modern update method into 1981-and beyond ?
