I am definitely interested in buying this vehicle (made a semi-offer) and I talked to the guy today and he is going to send me pics tomorrow but I wondering if anybody that lives close by wouldn't mind going to look at it for me. If you want it, go ahead and grab it, I'm goin to have a hell of a time getting it here and I really want a 2$ with a 4speed so its not like I have to have it......its such a good deal and sounds like it has a great shell, I was going to grab it but if u want to, go ahead by all means...ill post as soon as I get them.

Thank god it's going to a cruiser lover. I have the cash and was 5 seconds away from giving him a deposit, but no wife approval.

400 miles, 7 hours, and about $60 in fuel an back home without the truck
Body was way too rusty fo me. Frame and axles, some misc parts but not worth it to me. Oh well, on to cutting the grass like I should have been doing....

I was thinking there was a distinct lack of body panels in the pictures that had been posted. What parts were rusted worst that gave you the most concern?
Pictures posted of passenger floorboard were about right but drivers floorboard was totally gone. A sheet of plywood under the rubber mat covering a hole you could fall through. Rockers rusted, rear quarters rusted out and poor attempt to cover it up with bondo and spray paint, etc, etc. Like I said above, frame looked good, axles worth something, dash was OK but overall not worth more than about $300 (my offer to him which he refused). I should have been more suspicious when he did not send me the picture I requested of the "worst" rust areas. In fairness though, we were having some computer problems at home and he may have tried to send them there but he did have my work email as well. Nice enough guy, just thinks his truck is worth more than I do.
