I having an issue getting brakes on my 40, I've bled them several times, we've put a disk brake conversion on the front with a Toyota p/u brake booster. When ever we bleed the rear brakes it sounds like the line is sucking air at the rear drivers side wheel.

Any ideas would've appreciated

did you start bleeding at the left rear wheel? then right rear, right front, left front?

when you push the pedal do you get any brake fluid leakage anywhere?

do you have a proportioning valve?

We have bled he wheels in both directions starting with the left far, and starting with the left front. We don't have any brake fluid leaking. The master cylinder were using is off a Toyota p/u and we do have the portioning valve off an fj60

How are you bleeding them? Is the sound of sucking on the wheel you are trying to bleed? Are you doing the pump the pedal method and if so you tighten the bleeder valve before they let the medal up correct? Is it a sound or is it actually sucking air back in, if I do not use a vacuum bleeder I always have a clear plastic tube going down into a small bottle with brake fluid in it. That way I can see the bubbles, and if their is a suction I can clearly see it, the fluid should never go backwards.
