I need some help. I have a 62 with a 5.3 Vortec and 4L60E. I bought it from someone who did it right, but the 4.11 gears were not adequate for the 35" tires and my foot. So I had 4.88s installed. The problem is the speedometer now reads 60MPH when I am going about 45MPH. I purchased a Hypertech Max Energy programmer thininking this would solve the problem, but it only goes to 4.56 gears. I don't think it made any difference even at that. Before I tear into anything, is this a mechanical issue, ie cable or transmission gear or is this a program issue that I need to correcteed, ie the correct gear number 4.88. BTW, the 62 did come with it's own laptop and LS1 program, but the moduel for the programmer isn't registering.
