Anyone have the interior dimensions handy, possibly from the original factory catalog? Specifically, width from interior door panel to panel of the front and rear seats, and the size of the cargo area with the back seat up. I haven't seen this posted anywhere, and was curious since I am looking for a 60/62 to replace my 100.

Thanks in Advance.

Thank you. Plenty of room for a couple of kids, a couple of dogs, some guns and huntin' stuff it sounds like.

I regularly have a double dog box, 5 gallon water jug, duffel, guns and training gear in my 60. And I can always fold tha seat down or attach the trailer for monster loads.

I am getting a rear drawer system built for the smaller items that need organization and/or protection.

PS: 41" between the wheel wells.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was wondering about- if I made a cargo box/drawer system, would two Large dog kennels fit on top.

What is the cargo length with the rear seat folded down?

I doubt that you will get two LARGE kennels in there with the drawer system. I carry my two field setters in a double dog box that is 48"W X 24"D X 22"H. This is about as big as will comfortably fit.

With the backseat folded up, the rear is about 70" long. I have carried as many as three dogs - the double box with an additional single airline kennel. Ir starts to get crowded. The drawer box will be the same height as the wheel wells - about 7" give or take 1/2".

Sorry to bump an ancient thread, but does anyone know how high the roof is from the floor in the rear cargo area?

not sure about roof height.

It would suck if you had to pull some thing out, and it was hitting the door opening.

If something is to be slid out, you can only accommodate what is the maximum opening of the door width and height it. I did measure the angle of the opening from the rear tail lights up which is 20 degrees.

Right now designing a full platform that will pull out to %80 and could suspend up to 500 bls on its end of the platform.

I would have gotten back to you sooner, but I have been busy!!

The hatch opening is: 35.25 inches tall x 53 inches wide.

Sorry to re-resurrect an ancient thread but I thought it was better than starting a new one. I am thinking about purchasing an FJ60 for a cross country surf trip. Can someone provide the diagonal length from the passengers side corner (where the door and windshield meet) to the rear driver's side where the door and read side window meet? I am trying to figure out how long of a surfboard I can fit in the truck. They will be on the roof when I drive but I need to have the ability to lock them up.

Thanks!

Nick
