Pinzgauers are slick vehicles - little tippy in the rocks due to being narrow, but manageable with an experienced driver. Definitely a unique ride.

I'd prefer a Unimog 404 - cheaper, more capable, but the 712m is probably more practical (relatively speaking).

i almost baught a unimog a couple years ago. the same guy that was selling it had a Pinzgauer. it was an amazing truck. no artticulation but lots of wheelbase and 6 wheels spinning. if it breaks you will spend cash to fix.
