6" tires on Slash

6" tires on Slash ???

My son has put a roll cage to his Slash and now wanting bigger tires.....I have seen many 6"(D) tires online but not sure if any fits to Slash with or without adapters ...any suggestions ??

You can fit the tires from a Stampede on there for sure, I don't know how tall they are. I think it has 17mm hexes so any monstertruck wheel with those hexes should work.

You will probably need to change the spur and/or pinion gear.

Any rock crawler tires and wheels should fit. 12mm hex. gearing is the issue, go as low as you can 93/11. Watch you temps, you can easily overheat your motor/esc. try the 21turn traxxas motor or a 27-35 turn for the torque.

With "any 2.2" wheel you may rub the inside if rim on knuckle or rear a arm. One wheel that does work is the RPM revolver wide crawler offset. But will widen truck significantly. Otherwise use stock type wheels and cut inner bead off from new tires.
