55 road trip to all 50 states

We will be there for sure. Original plan was to send the cruise back there to start but going to ship it out to Oregon to my folks place. Cheaper on the first shipping expense not much difference in miles doing a big loop instead of starting at one end and zig zagging. So start in Oregon barely hit cali cause I have no reason to be there other than to make all 50 states then head east zig zagging along the central and southern states. Up the east coast into maine then back down and around heading back west. Going to dip into Canada somewhere back east then back into the states back west across then into Washington and up into Bc. so that by the time we hit Alaska we will hit 55 states/territories and the ole girl will be 55 this year.

Couldn’t help myself instead of 051 went with Cygnus 012 and then added green ice pearl. Will add probably gold ice when i do the clear coat tomorrow. I know it’s not for most you pig people adding shinny metal but atleast I stuck with stock Toyota colors maybe not cruiser with the 6p4 but had to stay yota

It’s not perfect the worst parts are my attempt at body work. The front patches came out really well. It’s the back where there was previous body work done that I tried to fix from what it was. There’s something to be said for those guys that do it daily. But the paint came out good almost a gallon of 6p4 , 2.5 quarts of Cygnus white 1 gram of ice pearl added. 1 quart clear with added green ice pearl. Now to let it set and then re assemble and add all the new lights and pieces as they arrive. Then next will be the roof rack system and swing out tire carrier. Been a productive 4 days

Florida probably not gonna do much. Stay on the top section of Florida. My uncle is going to drive up from clear water for dinner or lunch which ever fits better for for timing.

The goal is end of march start the trip at south point, Hawaii hopefully @Devils Paw 80 will join in and hopefully have my other 55 to be able to make the trip also. Then ship it out and start the 48 first week of may hopefully to be in Alaska end of June to hit the last of the good fishing for reds.

Yeah I was born and lived in Jacksonville Oregon tell I was 28. Driven that top portion of California a lot. We are going to drive northern part of California and southern Oregon coast.

Sounds good we will be headed down to Fredricksburg,kingsland, Lano, SanAntonio all depending if we can get my wife’s family to meet in one spot instead of jumping around a bunch. Will for sure be going into San Antonio as her grandma can’t make the trip to any of the other spots.

Sounds like you are hitting the right spots, the Texas Hill Country is where it’s at. You should try to swing down to Big Bend, amazing place as well

Wife and love hill country. Have always enjoyed flying into Fredericksburg and staying at the Hangar Hotel. Have spent a few of our anniversary’s there.

Now she wants “her” new project the same colors. First thing is rip off the fuel system and swap it all over to carb and then drive it.

For now just going to run the wheels been out cleaning the black spray paint off them and it’s looking better for now. The original goal was these bronze wheels but they don’t fit. The 106 hub bore is shallow and doesn’t go thru for the hubs. Thought I’d have them milled out but at that point just buy a different set
