OK, I finally know what was my problem.... for the one how already read the other thread.

I removed my rear drive shaft to know where was my 4WD problem. First I was thinking about the hubs, then my birfields, ...

Finally, I find my 4WD poping out when I engage it on the 4H (and 4L) (wtihout the rear divre shaft). I moved the arm and feel it grinding on the gear. Some time it work, then poping and after it realy hard to engage.

I'm afraid I have to rebuilt my T-Case ?

Ajustment ?

Just a new gear ?

And what kind Cruiser T-Case can fit in my ? I have 1983 BJ60.

FJ/BJ40 - 42 ?

FJ62 ?

Thank for your advice.

idea???

I have to ask if you have checked your motor mounts? I had something very similar & found it by the mount finally giving away while wheeling. Stand to the side & have someone torque the motor looking for it to arch up when under the load.
-maybe not a transfer case yet???

You may also want to the spring ball bearing thing that helps to hold the shifter in place. On the passanger side (LHD) there is a bolt that houses a spring and ball bearing. Take that out, don't loose the ball bearing, and stretch the spring out a little, then replace. May not be your problem but one the skid plate is removed it's only a 10 minuted job. You can also try adjusting the linkage on the shifter.
