Erik,

Can you go from the 4L60E to a toy box? I thought that is the set up in your 62.

I have a line on a 1995 5.7/trans combo and would like to use the toy box as my adapter. If I have to buy an adapter ($$$) I will probably use the existing chevy->H41 adapter I already own.

Thanks,

Gary

yes.. you have a 4 bolt pattern on the back or 6 bolt?
Your best bet is to call me and we can discuss your options.
In english here are the options and what I would do if I were you..
4l60-toybox? Not as cost effective, cool and awesome braggin right? YEP.. Cost effective? nope.. Can ya stop the truck? NOPE.. But that was with the 4.7 gearset in mine, I've changed it around but not installed it again yet.
Many later 4l60's have a 6bolt tail shaft, the 700r4 is 4bolt, the TH350 is 4bolt which is what you want for a 203 doubler. With the toybox if your wanting to double up it'll be stuipd low and scary.. with the 203 your low but not tooo low..
4l60-203-tcase? YEP.. Your looking at about the cheapest adapter for a doubler that exists
And I might be interested in your existing adapter to help compensate for the cost.. And I have a spare 203 in the basement! :)
Pretty sure you got the #'s for me..

What truck? For some reason I didn't think you had a 350?

I do not have a 350 yet. a gal at work got t-boned and I am going to try and get her 1995 5.7/4L60E for my new project. I will run the stock 78 cruzer t-case and thought the box could be an adapter/reduction all in one.

I will think about the 203 if I get the motor. If I do not get the motor then it is back to the old 305/H41/Toybox/t-case set up.

Thanks for the info!

Gary

The 203 adapter works for all 3 cases.
h41, toybox, tcase..
YOu copycat!

I am copying you.

Reversed springs, spacers, full hydro, 39.5 irocs, cromo axle stuff, reduction box and a body I do not care about. (PIG needs to get those 40 rear axles made).

My brother is co sponsoring this deal and he wants a fuel injected motor. The carburated 305 sitting on the floor sure is cheap and easy to wire!!
