For those that are interested in what I would consider a worthwhile effort. I have a lot of time and my personal money tied up in this to help raise money. It means a lot to me.
Here is my driver BIO from the Ultra4 site
On June 30, 2013, 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots lost their lives fighting the Yarnell Hill fire near Yarnell, Arizona. I will be racing 4619 class vehicle to raise funds for the families of the Granite Mountain 19 and to honor their memory. I am a US Forest Service hotshot since 2000 and a KOH competitor since 2009. In 2009, as the driver for Team 435, I finished 35th in the unlimited class race at KOH with a full frame/full bodied Land Cruiser. In 2010 I started racing as the Co-Driver for team Crossed Up 4431. The teams accomplishments include 2 more finishes and a 9th place finish in 2012. If you wish to support our cause for the firefighters and their family’s, one hundred percent (100%) of the funds raised by this effort will go to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation. The Wildland Firefighter Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides assistance to fallen firefighters families and to firefighters injured or killed in the line of duty. They do not receive government funding, therefore services are available for anyone performing wildland duties: volunteers, contract firefighters, agency firefighters, pilots, equipment operators, etc. Pledges can be made for a flat rate or on a per mile basis. Please make checks payable to Wildland Firefighter Foundation and write Ultra4Racing 4 Granite Mountain Hotshots in the comment line. All donations are tax deductible. Thanks so much to our Sponsors. -Crossed Up Customs -Rock Tactics -Sky Manufacturing.
